For those on the post-tour extension to Milan, we will have the opportunity to see a performance in Milan's famous La Scala opera house. Inaugurated in 1778, La Scala has hosted the premiers of countless works by Italy's most famous composers, including Verdi, Puccini, and Rossini. During our visit, we will have the opportunity to watch a concert version of the 18th c. Italian baroque opera Carlo il Calvo by the Neapolitan composer Nicola Porpora.
We will depart on foot to the concert (~15 minute walk) around 7:15 on our second night in Milan, which is the on-your-own evening of our three nights in Milan.
